In that chance, there is a 1:10,000 chance that you will be given some sort of ability; the basic types are skills, or maybe talent, and these are called Classes, such as the famous 'Hero' to the infamous 'Maou' or 'Demon King'.

Then, there's... well, then there's James. James is an idiot savant, essentially, and so, thinking it's a dream and that he'll wake up soon anyway, he chooses 'nothing'.

He simply refuses to choose, and sits around in the Spirit Realm, meditating, for 100,000 years; in this way, he develops his own skills, instead of accepting one from the Gods.

Now, there's no going back.
