"A lot of this life is constant worry." Kia said almost to straightforward. It was like she didn't think I knew that already. We weren't even together and I was constantly worrying for him, wondering if he'll get back safe.
"I know that..." I replied looking to my feet. The tears on my face had almost completely dried but a few stray drops still lingered on the tip of my chin.
"It's going to be a constant worry if they come back unharmed or not. A constant worry if they'll be okay, but you have to trust they will be. You can't give up that hope. Ever." She stated trying to console me, it wasn't really working though.
Truth be told, I don't know if I could live that way. Having to constantly look behind my shoulder. Always worrying for the safety of him.
"I know that too..." Was all I could manage to get out. The thoughts swirling in my brain were giving me such a head ache I thought I might faint.
"He loves you. I know he does. He also needs you Sara, I don't think he'd be able to live if you weren't by his side. But in the end, the decision all leads back to you. So, I need to ask you... Do you honestly think that you can handle this lifestyle."
"I- I don't know."
