"What are the best bars to go to in the city?"

I asked him this just because I knew it would catch him by surprise. And it did. I watched his dark eyebrows raise up and he sucked in a deep breath; I tried not to look so in love as he bit his bottom lip and ran his hand through his mess of unkempt hair that was growing a bit too long and curling around his ears.

Then he laughed. Kind of in a disbelieving way where his brown eyes became wide and his mouth was agape.

"Why do you want to know?"

He was on to me. I wasn't trying to be inconspicuous. I wanted him to realize what I was doing.

"I'm just curious to know where you hang out after work everyday."

He scoffed and leaned across his desk to me. I leaned forward as well, my elbows resting on the light wood finish, supporting my head resting in my hands. The smirk on my lips was driving him mad.
