Everyone thinks of Harper as the school's mega nerd who just became the victim of the classic jock and developed an attitude. No one knows that after getting betrayed by her bestfriend and so-called ex boyfriend, she is determined to never again place her trust in any man alive. Theory proven: Books are much better than human beings.

Meanwhile, Weston Everett, the infamous slacker, is simply bearing the brunt of having anger management issues. His favourite hobby: ticking off anything- or, rather anyone who breathes the same air as him.

When these two are brought together as beta testers for a "rebound" dating app, they think that they have hit the rock bottom.

No one told them that a mysterious ten year old boy was waiting to throw them in a complicated murder mystery. And, that they must prove this kid's innocence since no one else can. Afterall, how can a harmless stapler be used to kill someone?

Follow Harper, as she tries to convince herself that the things she is starting to feel, cannot possibly be because of the delinquent who calls her 'Hyper'; and Weston, as he tries to figure out why is he starting to fall for the nerd who writes diss songs dedicated to him.
